³⁴ Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, “Listen, this Child is destined to cause the fall and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign which will be spoken against, ³⁵ so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. And a sword will pierce through your own soul also.”

³⁶ And there was Anna a prophetess, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age and had lived with her husband seven years from her virginity.
